Why wait for Rock Bottom
Although, some people are not addicted to substances, they still abuse those substances, could be drugs or alcohol, it’s funny though, how some people refuse to accept the fact that even though they are not potentially affected by drug or alcohol use, by continuing using, they can be at risk of addiction. Most people wait until they have suffered more than enough negative consequences to seek some kind of help, but why wait for rock bottom!
Things can get worse when it all comes crashing down on you. Even though life is predictable, there is always an unknown, the chaotic factor, who hovers in the air ready to challenge us in every way possible. Knowing that life is predictable, is to look at the paths you’ve chosen in life, the element always attract, so if you continue to abuse a substance of whatever sort, only negative consequences would be the results, because eventually, even if you are not aware and you are functioning, something is going wrong somewhere else in your body, the effects appear later in life.
The bad consequences that could also come about from addiction could be so damaging that it can break down everything a person has built up, like relationships, friends and family relationships and even his/her self esteem.
When you looked at all the times a person had given up precious time with family and close friends to chase after a substance, and when they get it, they isolate themselves. So much wasted time to chase that temporary good feeling and substance abusers don’t recognize all the time that has passed.
Don’t wait until you are down and out and everyone has washed their hands of you, if you know you are abusing a substance, search for help, because it has to be bothering you in some way or another, even if it is just to talk, there are many support group all over your city, your country and all over the world.
